Office of Christian Education
"Nurturing Faith, Learning, and Leadership in the Next Generation"
The CCCAS Office of Christian Education (Ofisa o A’oa’oga Kerisiano) was established to strengthen the Sunday School and Youth ministries of all CCCAS member congregations. Its core mission is to equip teachers, youth leaders, and congregations with the resources, training, and guidance needed to nurture Christian faith across all ages.
Each year, the Office designs the official CCCAS teaching curriculum, develops lesson plans, and publishes instructional materials to support Sunday School teachers and Youth leaders in implementing the curriculum within their own ministries. To ensure consistency and effectiveness, staff from the Office conduct annual visitations to every CCCAS congregation, offering hands‑on support, training, and evaluation for both Sunday School and Youth programs.
In addition to curriculum development, the Office coordinates church‑wide programs and activities that bring Sunday Schools and Youth groups together for fellowship, learning, and spiritual growth. These gatherings strengthen unity across the CCCAS and encourage young people to grow in faith as part of a wider Christian community.
The Office of Christian Education operates under the oversight of the CCCAS Education Committee (Komiti o A‘oga), which appoints its director. The director is supported by a deputy director and four assistant coordinators who serve from the Main Office in Kanana Fou. For CCCAS regions outside American Samoa, each region appoints its own coordinator, who works in close partnership with the Office to support Sunday Schools and Youth ministries abroad.
Together, the Office of Christian Education ensures that Christian education throughout the CCCAS remains faithful, vibrant, and rooted in the mission of the Church.
